Acadian Research Forest

The Acadia Research Forest is located about 20 km north-east of Fredericton, New Brunswick. This areas has a long history for many research trials. The wet-areas map developed for this area, at 5 m resolution, provides a new geographic datalayer for the interpretation of past, ongoing and contemplated research trials.

This poster presents the wet-areas map for the Acadia Forest Research Station of the Candian Forest Service (CFS). Note the extensive coverage of areas with a cartographic depth-to-water index of < 1m. CFS personnel and researchers have acquired this map, for general operations planning, and for designing specific research trials.
